AMERICA HAS LOST HER WAY
Lamentations 3:40 “Let us search and try our
ways, and turn again to the LORD.” (KJV)

Do we wonder what is wrong
When God’s blessings are not strong?
Do we wonder why we’re poor
And not nearly what we were?

The great pillars of our land
Have been moved to shifting sand.
And the God who made us great
Is now seen as out of date.

From the Lord we’ve turned away.
We have followed our own way.
Our own pleasure we’ve pursued
And our vows we’ve not renewed.

Unless we call upon God’s name
There’ll be more of just the same.
Still the God who gave His Son
Will forgive us one by one.

We must lift His name in praise
“Let us search and try our ways.
And turn again unto the Lord.”
Nothing less can we afford.

We have tried it our own way.
Now let us turn to God and pray.
Pray for mercy from His hand;
Asking God to bless our land.
